"HA", in Hawaii`i, is the "breathe of life".  "WAI" is "fresh water", or "The water of life", or "living waters". The nickname of all the island of Hawaii is Aloha State because Aloha means hi, goodbye, and I love you. The first Island's nickname is The Big Island. Maui's nickname is The Vally Isle. Kaho'olawel's nickname is The Target Isle. Lanai's nickname is The Pineapple Isle. Molokai's nickname is The Friendly Isle. Oahu's nickname is The Gathering Place.
